Some information on sweet potato, batata from Palau

October 3, 2016 - It is our long backlog to provide information on batata plantation and caring. The story goes back to the Budapest Expo on Family Farming in 2014 when Kislépték, the coordinator pf the Hungarian National Committee of International Year of Family Farming 2014 organised the civil event side programme as a Day 0 for the National Committees. Here  you can read our report from the event in Hungarian.
One of our international participants was Robert V. Bishop of the Family Farming Alliance from the Pacific region, also representing the Palau Organic Farmers Association , the Palau-Taiwan Farmers Association  and the Pacific Organic and Ethical Trade Community [POETCom]  who presented several useful, helpful information on sweet potato, batata. There reporting on the conference is here.
Some of our conference participants wanted to get more information which we had and have from Bob but they are all in English.
But now, in the most recent correspondence from him we received a very handy psoter on how to manage sweet potato weevils. We now translated this piece of information and share with you. The poster.
We also share with you those publications [ONETWO  and its other part ] which we received from Bob, they are longer and in English. So we encourage you to share this information within your local farming community.
Have a good reading and work!
